4 of us had lunch in here on Saturday and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, the garlic bread and Chilli Beef Nachos were fantastic. Nachos were the best we have ever had! Then for mains, 3 sirloin steaks and a Thai Green curry, no faults. The only comment would be that the portions were huge, especially the nachos, so struggled to finish the main course. Service was very friendly too.
Not been to the Vic for a few years as I no longer live on the Island, but visited them for a meal last night. The new owner and his staff were so friendly and the food is fantastic, we will definitely be coming back before we leave the Island next weekend.
Friendly staff, wasn't to busy when I was there so got served straight away. Then found a nice spot outside, sun just starting to set.
I have not eaten there yet but I will be soon , staff very friendly, lovely atmosphere and live music a few nights a week which is very badly missed in the past . So a very big thumbs up .
Went for an impromptu lunch on a day off with the missus. Old meets new inside, comfortable seating and a log fire! Bonus! Nice range of local art work too. We skipped starters and went straight to main course, both excellent and very tasty! Dessert which was banoffee pie was a little to sweet for our liking. Followed up with coffee. Great price. Good service. Only very minor complaint was the toilet was a bit grubby, but I guess it's because they are old.
I loved the meal here - they couldn't fit us in the restaurant so we eat in the bar, felt really looked after - as if they felt bad about sticking us with the locals.. we probably preferred it. I had the ribs.. was SO good I took little notice of what the rest of my family were eating (I'm pretty sure they enjoyed their choices) I kept asking to go back but my lovely wife has this thing about going back to a place twice in the same holiday?!?! Especially if it's not next to the sea!! Maybe if they put some beach pictures up, I may get an additional visit next time we're in Jersey. (El Tico was also really nice.. but trying to recreate the Vic Rib experience was doomed to fail, GOOD still, but not a match for the Vic's - still thoroughly recommended though!)
Called in for a meal without booking.although pretty full, found us a table for 2. Although an order had just been placed for 9 people our food arrived about 20 minutes after ordering. Large portions and good quality, I chose fish & chips and had the largest piece of cod I have ever had in a restaurant, superbly cooked and fresh. Drinks the cheapest I have had whilst in Jersey . Will visit again next time i am in Jersey. Reccomended
